Body – Fitness Tips From the Actor

Upen Patel was never shy about baring his body, and why not, given that he had one of the fittest bodies in the business.

The model turned actor was a hunk and he knew it. That probably explained his tendency to strip down for his shows and movies. His superb body was the result of extreme hard work, dedication and commitment.
In most of his interactions to the press, Upen Patel often talked about his fitness regimen. According to him, he makes it a point to never miss a session at the gym. In fact, at times his busy schedule meant that he had to walk into the gym at 2 AM in the morning. But the actor-cum-model had to work hard to build his body. He was apparently a very skinny child who used to tire easily. In order to counter the problem, he worked out to build his body.

Upen Patel had three basic principles that he rigidly followed to ensure that his body was always at very high fitness levels. These were – sleep well, train hard and eat right. He also stressed on the fact that body building and fitness levels were related to one’s lifestyle and therefore lifestyle changes were necessary. Upen Patel also stated that he did not believe in diets. The actor also said that eating right was the best way to stay fit and he also suggested drinking plenty of water in order to remain hydrated. When asked about the amount of water to be consumed, the actor said that there was no predefined limit.

The actor took a lot of protein supplements and this was because his workout sessions were pretty rigorous. For this reason, he said that extra protein was necessary to repair and recharge his muscles. He would start off with weights, but after a few months switch exclusively to machines. This phase would be followed by one where he would do both weights and machines. The actor advocated changing routines for maintaining fitness levels. He also clarified that one fitness routine wouldn’t fit everyone.
